It's All Such A Hoot!

Who could resist knitting a jumper with so much personality?............not me apparently!

Kate's OWLS has been a big hit in the knitting world with many wonderful versions taking flight.....mine was adapted for Maya who requested a front pocket (for storing snacks for the owls of course) and a longer length.
I kept the overall shaping and it does indeed fit her like a glove.....here's hoping she doesn't burst out of it before she has a chance to enjoy it during a Massachusetts winter!

As you can tell a lot of hilarity was had during our photo shoot...(many out-takes believe me)......but she can be a serious wee soul sometimes:

To show her thanks Maya drew me this!

I would wear that myself. And I would knit it for myself is I was a better knitter. :) Maya looks beautiful in it - fantastic colour!

Beautiful sweater! Kate's patterns are great, and it is a relief to see a beautiful *and* cool kid's sweater. If you're moving soon, Maya might still be able to wear the sweater this year- we had 4" of snow in NH this weekend.

PS: thanks for the kind comment on my blog!

beautiful design and you knit it in scrumptious purple as well. it's just gorgeous on your daughter, who, by the way, is a very gifted artist as well.

So fun and Maya is just Beautiful. I hope you remember me--I got out of touch with all of my blog pals while I was not knitting, but I am back and hope we can stay in touch again....You sure have done some incredible work...Edna

I would go on and on about how wonderful the sweater is (and it is wonderful) but then there are those adorable photos of Maya with her marvelous hair and you end the post with her brilliant drawing! It leaves one so very distracted! Maya is a very talented artist. I see a future designer there.
