Who could resist knitting a jumper with so much personality?............not me apparently!
Kate's OWLS has been a big hit in the knitting world with many wonderful versions taking flight.....mine was adapted for Maya who requested a front pocket (for storing snacks for the owls of course) and a longer length.
I kept the overall shaping and it does indeed fit her like a glove.....here's hoping she doesn't burst out of it before she has a chance to enjoy it during a Massachusetts winter!

Stunning, stunning, stunning! Love the jumper and it's so becoming on Maya. Wish I was on that photoshoot - you guys were having so much fun!
Nice one! My oldest daughter wants now the same sweater having seen Mayas .... :-)
I loved her owl-drawing - it has a lots of character.
It's just beautiful. And a lovely girl too!
I LOVE your version of this sweater! The pocket is adorable and a nice touch. Maya seems to really love it, too!
I love this sweater and it looks gorgeous on Maya.
You've got so much going on at the moment. I love your house in the woods, you must be so excited.

wonderful! I love the addition of a pocket for snacks.
This really looks lovely. As does Maya's owl drawing! Now *I* want a snack pocket . . .
I would wear that myself. And I would knit it for myself is I was a better knitter. :) Maya looks beautiful in it - fantastic colour!
Wonderful job! Love the colour.
I love the owls- both the knitted version, and Mayas drawing. She's talented!
Beautiful sweater! Kate's patterns are great, and it is a relief to see a beautiful *and* cool kid's sweater. If you're moving soon, Maya might still be able to wear the sweater this year- we had 4" of snow in NH this weekend.
PS: thanks for the kind comment on my blog!
love the sweater..just might have to make it some day! like the gift she gave you too, how sweet!
beautiful design and you knit it in scrumptious purple as well. it's just gorgeous on your daughter, who, by the way, is a very gifted artist as well.
So fun and Maya is just Beautiful. I hope you remember me--I got out of touch with all of my blog pals while I was not knitting, but I am back and hope we can stay in touch again....You sure have done some incredible work...Edna
I would go on and on about how wonderful the sweater is (and it is wonderful) but then there are those adorable photos of Maya with her marvelous hair and you end the post with her brilliant drawing! It leaves one so very distracted! Maya is a very talented artist. I see a future designer there.
I love your version of this very popular sweater. The pocket is such a great idea.
What an awesome sweater. The owls make it fun and I do like the longer length - so 'in' right now. Wonderful work. Maya is a great artist - the owl is super cute.
Love this - what a great sweater - and great addition of the pocket!! And I love how Maya's personality comes through in the photos. That's a lovely drawing she did for you :)
