Bird's Eye Lace-Video Tutorial

I've thrown together a very rough tutorial on the Bird's Eye Lace used in the Aestlight Shawl as it seemed to be causing issues for a small number of people.
Hopefully it will be of use to some of you.....apologies for the lack of editing and quality control....best I could do for now!

(I've been admiring lots of gorgeous finished shawls on Ravelry.....thanks for purchasing)!

Just bought your lovely pattern so thanks for taking time to do tutorial.
Love the edging. Im even thinking of making one in a tweedy cashmere for a male friend, who has expressed interest, for Christmas.

This is a beautiful shawl pattern. How much yarn is required?

I love how you're wearing it as a scarf with all the lace pattern showing around your neck....just lovely.

Hi I am very grateful for your gifts. The shawl is lovely and I can't wait to get started. The tutorial is very helpful. I am newly 60 and I marvel at technology that brings your lovely talent to my breakfast table in Idaho. So I'll be digging out my needles and making a stash dive.

Thank you! This was very clear and helpful. I've been failing miserably at the Shetland Shorty shrug, but now I can return to it with confidence.

I had no trouble with the second row--it was always clear where to do the k1p1 into the double YO, but it was not as clear exactly what the stitches looked like when I did the 1st row. If I screwed up on the preliminary stitches I'd get "off". This tutorial made it much clearer.

Thank you. I can't wait to start this as soon as the Tour de Fleece is over.
