I honestly can't remember the last time I did so much knitting for myself......
ANAIS: Berroco-Norah Gaughan Vol 1
ANAIS: Berroco-Norah Gaughan Vol 1
My first Norah G knit!! (Sort of ashamed to admit that as I really have been a huge fan for ages)...as you can tell I went a bit crazy with the photo editing but actually quite like my dramatic results (my face was showing the effects of wearing alpaca on an 80 degree day).
What can I say...great pattern...only mods were knitting in the round and a little math modification as I fell between chest sizes.
Only dislike was seaming in the webby parts...I'm a terrible seamer!

...and yes I finally finished my 2nd Pomatomus sock...it was really slow going with all the p1,ktbl and boy you really wanted to avoid messing up because ripping back was not an attractive option!....two months to knit a pair of socks...clearly I'm not one of those sock knitting addicts (although it should be noted that I did complete 3 and a half sweaters during that time also)!
Anyway they are rather superior socks and I love them...especially the heathery Scottish colours of Gryphon's yarn.

That's one of my favorite designs. It looks great. The lacy insert is beautiful.
I love your sweater! It looks beautiful.
Love Anais. You're very bravy wearing alpaca in the sun. Isn't it lovely when you get the chance to knit yourself something?
I love the second photo - your hair looks so fiery!
I love that Gaughan design. The lace inset is so delicate and sweet. But I can imagine that it takes some finagling to seam it in.
well done with both knits. I love the first photo of Anais with the slats of light playing across the webbing.
Those are beautiful knits, I love those socks...I have been meaning to try those myself. Awesome work.
your anais is beautiful! i'm currently struggling with seaming the lace myself. not fun at all. just one more sleeve to go ...
Very nice!!! Great job!
Wow, you're amazing. I could do with some of those cosy winter socks right now; the temperature is dipping and we've had the woodburner on most nights to keep the chill off the house! Bxxx
gorgeous sweater. and the photos are really nice too.
Very cool!
btw, I've tagged you! Come on over and see the instructions. :)
I'm a HUGE norah fan, and I haven't knit a single one of her designs (yet. it is only a matter of time.)
Your Anais is gorgeous and so flattering, and I love those photos - very striking. Beautiful work Gudrun!
