As I said to David, the inauguration of a President makes a British coronation seem like the embalming of the dead! Can you imagine 2 million plus turning out for Prince Charles!! Can you imagine his speech!! The King is dead. Long live the King.
Even I watched the inaugeration here in Canada; such a momentous occasion. I think most Americans must be glad to just have a change of venue :) Definitely a good reason to celebrate and drink orange juice.
I love your blog! Oh - fresh orange juice for breakfast! I live in Norway. We have to wear long underwear, woolen caps and mittens for quite a few weeks still. Best wishes!
I grew up in Fresno and don't miss it very much to be honest. But I do miss the wonderful oranges at this time of year and being able to buy huge boxes of perfectly ripe oranges to make into juice. And the scent of orange blossoms.
I was born in Shetland, but grew up all over Scotland. I now live with my novel- writing husband (David Anthony Durham) and two kids in the woods of Western Massachusetts!
